Frequently asked questions 

•  What is the notice period if I no longer require BREAKFAST CLUB or AFTER SCHOOL CLUB? 
  We require one calendar months notice from the months start to month end. For example if you hand your notice in on 10th of November, your notice period will be taken from the 1st of December until the 30th December.
  
  
• How does the Registration fee work?

Our registration fee is charged to all new families joining our setting to secure a place for your child as well as covering administration costs. There will be a charge per child, not per family. Our pricing will be £20 for the first child, £15 for the second child, £10 for any further siblings. (This will only apply if all children are registering at the same time.) Any children registering at separate periods, will be charged £20 per child at the time of registration. You will only be charged one registration fee and will not be charged an additional registration fee if your child transfers to another one of our settings. If you hand in and serve your one-month notice and re-enquire with us at a later point, we will re-charge a £20 registration fee. This registration fee is non-refundable once the payment has been made.

•  Can I book an extra session (adhoc session) for BREAKFAST CLUB or AFTER SCHOOL CLUB? 
  We offer adhoc sessions for a slightly higher rate. Please refer to our price list page for the amount per session per child. 
  
  
• Can I swap my permanent sessions?

  Unfortunately we are unable to swap sessions due to our staffing and ratios.

• Where do we drop off for Breakfast club? 

     

Please make your way to the wrap around care entrance. This gate will be open from approximately 7.35am. You can enter the entrance(green gate) and walk down the path(marked with the red line on the map) to the green building where we operate wrap around care.

Wrap around care will open at 7.45am – a member of staff will open the door at this time for any children waiting to enter. If you arrive after this time, please ring the bell that is located on the wall of the green building and a member of staff will come and let your child into Breakfast Club.

• Where do we collect for After school club when outdoor play is not taking place? 

Please make your way to the wrap around care entrance. Enter through the green gate and walk down the path (marked with the red line on the map) to the green building where we operate wrap  around care.

Ring the bell that is located on the wall of the green building and a member of staff will let your child  out of Afterschool Club.

Where do we collect for After school club when outdoor play is taking place? 
Please make your way to the wrap around care entrance. You will see a black bell on the green gate, when you arrive ring the bell. The bell is a 2 way intercom bell. A member of staff will answer the bell and ask you, who you are here to collect. Then the staff member will help your child collect their belongings and they will bring your child up to the gate. This is so we can keep the grounds secure and safe whilst the children are taking part in outdoor play. 

• Where will my child be during Breakfast club and After school club?

• Can my child attend after school clubs / discos / after school events that the school provide and then attend Little Stars after school club afterwards? 
  Yes, all children are welcome to attend any clubs / discos / after school events. Parents and carers must inform Little Stars that your child/ren will be arriving later to our setting. Parents / carers must organise how their child will be brought to Little Stars after their club / disco / after school events finishes. The staffing team at Little Stars may be able to help with this collection where possible. However, these arrangements will need to arranged before the event takes place. 
  
  
• Who do I inform if my child is not attending wrap around care or is adding an additional ADHOC session?
  Please inform both Little Stars childcare and Swallowfield school separately. You can send a email to school however, when contacting wrap around please contact us via phone, text message or WhattsApp. This is due wrap around not having consistent access to receiving messages via email.
  
  
• How can I contact Little Stars wrap around care?
